A leading global content agency is recruiting for a Database Manager to join their London team. This is a unique opportunity to manage data operations, oversee projects, and support a globally renowned luxury brand, working with their teams in Switzerland and worldwide. This role blends data management expertise, project coordination, and client engagement, making it ideal for someone with experience in a software house, service-led organisation, or agency with in-house data teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Management: Manage and maintain a bespoke database, ensuring data accuracy, cleansing, and extraction for various purposes, including campaigns, reports, and client communications.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as a key point of contact for the client's Switzerland team and global offices, addressing queries related to customer data management and ensuring smooth communication.
- Project Coordination: Oversee data-related projects, such as the development of new database functionality or user interface rebuilds, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with client needs.
- Strategic Data Management: Contribute to the development and implementation of data strategies to enhance client engagement and optimize data utilization.
- Email Marketing & Campaign Coordination: Oversee multi-lingual email campaigns, coordinating assets (text, translations, images), managing email design in MailChimp, and working with the digital team on templates and Litmus tests.
- Team Coordination: Guide a small freelance data team, assigning tasks like data entry, scanning, and archiving. Collaborate with distribution and production teams on daily operations and new initiatives.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in data management, including data cleansing, extraction, and reporting.
- Strong project management skills, ideally in data-related or software development projects.
- Familiarity with data management tools like Excel and a solid understanding of data protection (e.g., GDPR).
- Experience with email marketing platforms like MailChimp.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- A hands-on attitude and willingness to tackle day-to-day tasks.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of MS SQL, including database management, maintenance, and data extraction.
- Knowledge of a language other than English (e.g., French).
- Experience in a client-facing role, such as supporting clients in a software house or agency.
- Familiarity with managing small teams or freelancers.
- Experience with Power BI to automate data querying and streamline data processes
