Senior Database Administrator - MongoDB

A leading tech company are looking for a Senior Database Administrator with strong MongoDB expertise to lead on projects from start to finish, drive database good practices and help mentor junior members of staff.

This is a permanent role based in London, with a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the SME on database platforms and their integration into applications.
Provide expert guidance regarding the use and optimization of databases.
Promote and uphold database design practices and standards/
Monitor database performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
Implement measures and optimisations to maintain or enhance the databases performance, scalability and reliability.
Stakeholder management

Experience required:

Expert knowledge of MongoDB
In-depth knowledge and application of performance monitoring and tuning, backup and restore strategies
Experience of database upgrade planning and implementation
Proficient in database query languages
Any experience with cloud computing environments such as AWS is beneficial
