Data & Analytics Product Owner - London / Hybrid

Are you a data-driven professional with a passion for analytics, governance, and business intelligence? Do you thrive on owning data platforms and delivering actionable insights?

We are supporting a leading mutual insurance provider for the maritime industry in their search for a Data & Analytics Product Owner to take technical ownership of their data platform, ensuring accuracy, usability, and performance. You will play a key role in managing the end-to-end data process, from source to presentation layer, while collaborating with data architects, engineers, analysts, and key business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the data platform, ensuring governance, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Develop and prioritise the Data & Analytics (D&A) backlog, aligning technical and business priorities.
  • Design and maintain data models that support analytical processes and reporting.
  • Oversee data flows and reconciliation, ensuring data integrity from source to reporting layers.
  • Present solutions to the Technical Design Authority, ensuring best practices in data architecture.
  • Lead a multi-skilled team to deliver against the D&A strategy, driving innovation and improvement.
  • Implement data-driven performance metrics to optimise the data platform's impact.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in data management, governance, or analytics, ideally within financial services or insurance.
  • Strong technical skills, including SQL, Python, R, and data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure Synapse Analytics, BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Ability to work with stakeholders across the business, translating data needs into actionable solutions.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, modelling, and CI/CD processes (Azure DevOps exposure is a plus).
