Head of Data & Analytics

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the data transformation at a charity committed to making a real difference in the community. As Head of Data & Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the data strategy, leading a team to build and maintain robust data systems that drive insights and decision-making across the organisation. This is a player-coach role requiring a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills.

You will be responsible for overseeing all data-related functions, including data engineering, reporting/analytics, and data quality. You will design and implement the enterprise data architecture, ensuring data is accurate, accessible, secure, and compliant. You will lead and mentor teams of data engineers, reporting analysts, and data quality specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Skills required:

  • Deep technical understanding of data engineering, reporting/analytics, and data quality principles.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise data architectures.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with cloud-based data architectures (Azure and AWS preferred).
  • Proficiency in SQL and data processing technologies.
  • Knowledge of data security practices and compliance with data protection laws.

Salary: £65,000 - £69,000

Location: Hybrid (1 day per week in London)
