- Manage a portfolio of service charge accounts, working towards agreed financial targets.
- Monitor accounts, ensuring payments are made in line with leaseholder obligations.
- Authorise and track payment plans.
- Issue statements and communicate with account holders via letter, email, telephone, or face-to-face meetings.
- Provide guidance on the legal and statutory basis of service charges.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve service charge and lease-related queries.
- Recommend legal action in cases of non-payment.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and Council standards.
- Liaise with elected members, external organisations (such as the Citizens Advice Bureau), lenders, and solicitors.
- Maintain strict financial control and ensure all transactions are fully audited and documented.
- Experience in financial collections or debt recovery.
- Strong knowledge of service charge legislation and leasehold management.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with account holders and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in IT and accounting systems.
- Ability to work to financial targets and manage a high volume of accounts.
