We are currently recruiting an Assistant Building Manager to become a part of the team at our luxury site close to Canary Wharf. They must be professional in manner, available to assist residents, visitors and contractors with any enquiries they may have in a positive, solution-oriented way. Exceptional customer service skills with excellent attention to detail and an uncompromising outlook to maintaining the highest standards is a must. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, a confident and dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with residents and others.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist the Building Manager in the day-to-day operations of the development, ensuring the highest standards of service and maintenance are upheld.
  • Deputise for the Building Manager in their absence.
  • Coordinate with contractors and residents on numerous ongoing projects to ensure timely and efficient completion.
  • Oversee and coordinate with on-site teams, including concierge, security-valet, and housekeeping staff.
  • Manage relationships with residents, addressing any concerns or queries promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor and manage building systems, conducting regular inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to the management of the property, including record-keeping and reporting.

General:

  • At least 5 years of experience in facilities management, building management, property management or a related field.
  • Technical knowledge of property management and an understanding of building maintenance needs.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance.
  • Proficiency in IT and familiarity with various software tools.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and handle pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with staff management including the appraisal process, HR matters and delegation.
  • IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualified (preferred but not essential)

Hours: 07:00-19:00 / 4 on 4 off

Salary:up to £37,000 per annum, depending on experience

Location: Docklands - Crossharbour DLR
