Business Development Manager

One of the UK’s leading providers of furniture for housing professionals, build to rent Developers, Estate Agents & Landlords, Private Investors & Serviced Apartment operators is recruiting a Business Development Manager. The company have a strong presence in the industry and pride themselves on delivering high-quality productions and exceptional customer service. The goal is to continuously expand their market share and build long-lasting relationships with their clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Cultivate and manage relationships with existing clients by curating and presenting new interior design and furnishing design projects. Onboarding new clients, including estate agents, serviced apartment companies, and residential developers. Conducting market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities, leading both virtual and in-person pitches to prospective and current clients. Collaborate closely with in-house designers and sales support team to ensure project delivery that meets and exceeds client expectations, managing follow-up communication throughout the project lifecycle. The role will involve working from the office when required, from home and on-site meeting with clients.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not essential.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably within the furniture or home furnishings industry.

Skills:

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth preferably within the furniture / furnishings or property sectors.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The role is offered on a 5 day per week basis, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm. Hybrid working arrangements are offered or the role can be based full time at the office / studio which is located in Ealing. Salary is totally open to negotiation based on experience plus commission increasing basic by £30,000+.
