Our client, a prominent player in luxury retail, is seeking a Head of Content Marketing to bring their passion for content to plan, develop and implement overall content strategy, from conception straight through to implementation, and are comfortable in both online and offline marketing. Based in London with flexible and hybrid working, this role is a crucial part of their digital strategy.

The Head of Content Marketing will collaborate with channel owners and creative teams to generate B2C content that inspires and informs their customer base. They will be bursting with innovative ideas and a fresh perspective to elevate the brand.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Head of Content Marketing:

  • Taking charge of and managing country-specific Marketing calendars (including social calendar, CRM schedule, promo calendar, HP updates, etc.) for the UK, US, DE, AU.
  • Leading a team of 3 (Copy and social media).
  • Coordinating with the merchandising team to schedule marketing activities aligned with product deliveries and business-approved seasons.
  • Working closely with CRM to schedule and actively propose A/B tests for emails and homepage design.
  • Collaborating with the design team, providing feedback on assets from a Copy and Marketing standpoint to ensure consistency with the brand message.
  • Leveraging business partnerships to generate new content and identify opportunities for online business and store advertising.
  • Overseeing the events calendar, including promotional store events, industry shows, and mall activations.
  • Utilising various market research methods to assist in content creation and ideation.
  • Conducting ideation workshop sessions to plan content initiatives with wider creative and digital teams.
  • Managing the overall brand voice and identity, ensuring adherence to strict brand guidelines.
  • Working with channel owners to outline content initiatives, editorial workflows, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ensuring content consistency across all channels, covering SEO, Social, Email, Affiliates, and Paid Advertising.
  • Serving as the primary contact for all content-related tasks, including writing, editing, and proofreading.

The Ideal Candidate

  • The ideal candidate for the Head of Content Marketing position should be a self-starter with a passion for content and a proactive approach. Additional qualifications include:
  • Strong project management and presentation skills, ensuring a clear process for every initiative.
  • Tech-savvy with a solid understanding of SEO and the ability to create content that performs well in search engines.
  • A discerning eye for design, storytelling, and storyboarding, complemented by excellent communication skills to articulate ideas.
  • Experience in the fashion industry would be a valuable asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaboration, motivation, and a team-player orientation.
  • Experience in creating content briefs with the ability to clearly extract and articulate content requirements.
  • Oversight of both online and offline marketing content.
