IT and Digital R&D Operations and Support Expert

Proclinical is collaborating with a pharmaceutical company to find an IT and Digital R&D Operations and Support Expert to join their expanding team. This remote position is available in either Paris or London.

This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of digital applications and technology solutions within the R&D domain. You will be responsible for service delivery, application management, and security, working closely with IT partners to enhance business user satisfaction and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Understand and analyze business processes and operations, including data integration between applications.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and processes.
• Identify opportunities to optimize business services, automate processes, and improve data flows.
• Support the development of the Business Digital and Tech roadmap.
• Facilitate technical and business discussions to align service delivery with business objectives.
• Perform risk analysis and mitigation, coordinating with IT Business Partners for demand management and resource planning.
• Develop and manage strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ensure overall operations meet business expectations (KPIs and SLAs).
• Review progress against SLAs and costs with IT Business Partners.
• Focus on continuous improvement of business operations through digital solutions and technology.
• Communicate updates to relevant stakeholders at defined intervals.
• Ensure service transition of applications from build to operations.
• Monitor contract services and lifecycle, managing governance of service delivery for the R&D perimeter.
• Pursue opportunities for improving vendor partnerships and contract terms.
• Identify potential opportunities for business innovation and recommend process and system changes.
• Define and lead innovation initiatives with IT Business Partners and key stakeholders.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or project management; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Relevant experience in IT R&D within the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Experience managing application outsourcing contracts.
• Knowledge of business processes and technology landscape in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, particularly in medical affairs, clinical development operations, regulatory affairs, and patient safety.
• Familiarity with Veeva RIM, eCTD manager EXTEDO, ARIS Global (PV), IRMS ANJU, and Veeva Vault Promomats.
• Fluent in English; conversational French is a plus.
