FIND is supporting a Multi Academy Trust to support their search for a Governance and Compliance Lead.  This is a key role to ensure the Trust is adhering to all legal and statutory requirements.This role is for 4 days a week with hybrid working- flexibility is required in terms of supporting Trust meetings that happen in the evenings.Salary- actual for 4 days a week- £29000- £33000.Duties include- 
  • Ensuring compliance of governance in line with statutory requirements
  • Oversight of annual meetings of the Trust Board
  • Attend all board meetings
  • Ensure training for Trustees
  • Oversight of member terms of office and vacancies on the board
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to companies house 
  • Policy and risk management 
  • Data protection compliance
  • Complaints handling 
  • Manage the legal register
The ideal candidate- 
  • Has a Business Admin qualification 
  • Holds or is willing to work towards a DPO qualification 
  • Education and Academy Trust experience 
  • Knowledge of Governance and compliance in the education sector 
  • Great ICT skills
  • Excellent communicator- written and oral
