Blayze Group are currently working with one of our clients who are a Tier 1 Residential Developer, seeking a Document Controller.

You will be working on an upcoming RC frame Residential scheme in South West London. This role will also require administrative and office support.

Overview of role

  • Take charge of all document control and administrative duties for the Technical Department.
  • Provide back-up to all Technical Managers on job running.
  • Check and process Consultants and Contractors drawings and technical submissions.
  • Issue drawings and information for construction purposes, using the correct protocols as instructed.
  • Ensure enquiries and applications go to statutory service companies and local authorities
  • Liaise with Architects, Engineers, and subcontractors for information.
  • Assist the department in maintaining updated processes regarding Building Regulations and any other Statutory Bodies.
  • Prepare conveyance plans.
  • Prepare and check brochure plans.
  • Internal liaison with Planning, Commercial, Construction and Sales.
  • Prepare and monitor technical specifications.
  • Prepare and release specific site documentation and Q and A Sales/Legal note in preparation of Sales launch information.
  • Obtain the necessary postal addresses for each development.
  • Facilitate information to assist with Party Wall Awards and any other 3rd party legal matters.
  • Assist in appointment and selection of EDMS Consultant.
  • Manage all inbound callers to main office and act as first point of contact for all visitors.
  • Manage the mail process, from logging inbound mail and its distribution and the sorting, postage and franking of outbound mail.
  • General typing duties, photocopying and binding documents.
  • Diary management.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Administrative experience within a Developer/Main Contractor
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Packages
  • 2 years construction based experience
  • Asite experience is advantageous, but not required
