Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK's climate change agenda and energy policy. Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

Job Purpose / Overview:
The Internal Document Manager within the Project Delivery Organisation (PDO) Quality Directorate is responsible for ensuring nuclear industry and major project best practice in documented information and records are defined and deployed across the transverse functions of the SZC organisation outside of the PDO. They will ensure that the documented information and records management arrangements and requirements are clearly communicated and controlled for effective deployment by the SZC Project.

The Internal Document Manager will take direction and support the Documents and Records Manager in supporting of Licence Condition 6 compliance on the SZC project.

As the focal point for development of SZC's internal document strategy and implementation plan, including the necessary processes, systems, and infrastructure, the position requires an individual who is comfortable with record management and who will positively support the drive for a document delivery across the organisation, including implementation of lessons learned from the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project.

The Internal Document Manager will work in close collaboration with the SZC Transverse functions outside of PDO to ensure that Documents are delivered consistently (safely, efficiently and right first time) compliant with the nuclear site licence requirements and industry best practice.

Responsibilities
• Lead the development, implementation and optimisation of the internal document management approach for the SZC Project transverse functions which provides assurance that Document management processes are operated in conformance to requirements (including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, GSR2) and are effective in terms of delivering intended results.
• Champion and implement the documented information and records management processes across the SZC Project Transverse functions outside of PDO.
• Support the document and records manager with engagement with Regulators (Office for Nuclear Regulation and Environment Agency) and related stakeholders on internal project document arrangements.
• Ensure compliance with organisational requirements to support Nuclear Site Licence and Permit compliance
• Develop, monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators to promote process improvements
• Identify, capture and implement internal document management lessons learned from the HPC Project team and other industry experience for incorporation into the project development phases
• Undertaking appropriate document management monitoring measurement and analysis of results in order to identify improvement opportunities.


Experience Required
• Extensive knowledge of modern document management, EDRMS systems, and project controls in multi-disciplined organizations
• Significant experience in records/document management within major infrastructure projects and regulated environments
• Strong organizational and communication skills, able to address diverse audiences and prepare presentation materials
• Leadership ability with experience in team development and stakeholder relationship management
• Degree or equivalent qualification demonstrating relevant technical understanding and management skills
• Experience interfacing with senior management, regulators, and external stakeholders in large-scale projects
• Proficiency in applying relevant quality standards (ISO9001/19443, GSR2, ISO14001, ISO 45001) in multidisciplinary environments
• Understanding of nuclear site license conditions and experience in Corporate Quality Function (desirable)
