This is an exciting opportunity to join one of UK's leading multidisciplinary practice who specialise in maximising the building performance of the numerous projects they take on. They are on the lookout for an intermediate mechanical engineer to join their building services team in their offices London.
Key responsibilities for a Mechanical Design Engineer include:
- Assist senior engineers and work as part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers on various construction projects
- Lead on your own projects from the design stage through to the completion and handover stage
- Carry out drawings, calculations, and design specifications for projects
- Work alongside clients and professional teams to develop and maintain working relationships
- Keep updated knowledge on current industry regulatory and design standards
- Provide detailed mechanical services design and assist with design strategy
- Produce load calculations, apply for utility connections, and carry out site quality and legislative inspections for reports
The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will have:
- A minimum of 2 years within an engineering role within the building services industry
- Relevant degree within a mechanical or building services engineering field
- Experience with industry standard software such as Revit and IES
- Working towards CIBSE chartership
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
