About the Role:Veritas Recruitment is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive primary school in Dulwich. This full-time role offers an exciting chance to support students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping them achieve their academic potential in a nurturing environment. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher, providing valuable support in lessons, small group work, and one-on-one sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
  • Support students with varying needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to enhance individual learning.
  • Help with the preparation and organisation of classroom materials and resources.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback as needed.
  • Assist with classroom management and ensuring students are engaged and focused.
  • Support students during breaks and lunch times when necessary.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of student progress and activities.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Experience working with children with SEN is an advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting classroom activities.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards education.
