About the Role
Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated Interventions Teaching Assistant to work in a thriving and inclusive primary school in Camden, NW1. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide one-on-one tutoring and small group instruction, helping pupils develop their literacy, numeracy, and emotional regulation. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about progress monitoring and ensuring all children receive the support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one tutoring and small group instruction, reinforcing core skills.
- Support lesson planning and adapt materials for intervention sessions.
- Assist in progress monitoring, tracking student development and providing feedback.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to create a structured learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals to support pupils' needs.
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting Key Stage 2 pupils, particularly in an intervention role.
- Strong understanding of one-on-one tutoring, small group instruction, and intervention strategies.
- Confident in behaviour management techniques and supporting additional learning needs.
- A proactive approach to lesson planning and adapting materials for different learners.
- Passionate about helping children develop confidence and independence in their learning.
