Remedy Education are looking for a PMLD Teaching Assistant to work with children who have Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). As a PMLD Teaching Assistant you'll have to adapt your learning and make sure that you're able to support children who have difficulties with their learning. This position is a full-time, long-term role which means it has plenty of potential of becoming a permanent position.

Role: PMLD Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full Time (Ongoing)

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30

Location: SE23, Lewisham

Interview Type: Paid Trial day

Rate: £90-£100 per day

This PMLD Teaching Assistant will require you to be a very calm and patient individual who is willing to work with children both 1:1 and in a Secondary School SEN provision hub environment with several other children. Your duty as a female PMLD Teaching Assistant is to support pupils in group activities are very important in these type of schools as it allows the children to socialise with each other and create bonds with others.

Skills you will need:

  • Must have school setting or healthcare experience
  • Complex Needs / Personal Care experience
  • A strong understanding of children with PMLD.
  • The ability to bond with the children.
  • To be patient when working with the children
  • The mindset to strive in a new environment
