If so, we'd love for you to join the team as a Behaviour Learning Support Assistant at this inspiring SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Redbridge.

The Role:

SEMH Teaching Assistant Duties:

  • Work closely with students, offering tailored support to help them manage behaviour and emotions.
  • Foster a positive, encouraging, and calm environment for learning.
  • Assist in the classroom, adapting lessons and strategies to meet pupils' individual needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to provide holistic support.
  • Celebrate every success, no matter how small, to build confidence and resilience.

SEMH Teaching Assistant Ideal Candidate:

  • Compassionate and able to build trusting relationships with children.
  • Resilient and able to stay calm under pressure.
  • Adaptable to the dynamic needs of an SEMH environment.
  • Team-Oriented, working collaboratively with staff and parents.
  • Experienced in education, care, or supporting children with SEMH needs (preferred but not essential - training provided).
