SANZA Teaching Agency is working closely with a thriving two-form entry primary school in the London Borough of Islington to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEND Early Years Teaching Assistant. The Role:- Supporting children with SEND within the EYFS setting, focusing on Reception and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Providing tailored support to help children engage with learning, develop social skills, and build independence.
- Assisting with learning activities, play-based interventions, and structured routines to support children's progress
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to ensure each child receives the support they need.
- Personal care duties may be required, including nappy changing and supporting children with toileting and self-care.
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND, ideally in an early years or reception setting.
- A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to working with young children with additional needs.
- Ability to differentiate activities and provide one-to-one or small group interventions to meet individual learning needs.
- Experience or willingness to assist with personal care and nappy changing when required.
- Strong understanding of child development, EYFS curriculum, and early years best practices.
- A team player who can work effectively alongside teachers, parents, and external professionals to support children's learning and well-being.
