We are seeking a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Hackney, supporting Year 6 students with their learning and preparation for SATs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support to Year 6 students, focusing on SATs preparation in core subjects (Maths, Reading, and Writing).
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to implement targeted intervention plans aimed at boosting student attainment.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of differentiated learning materials to meet the varying needs of students.
  • Provide academic and emotional support, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, offering constructive feedback to teachers and parents where appropriate.
  • Support the classroom teacher with general duties, including managing behaviour and ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within a Year 6 or Key Stage 2 setting.
  • Familiarity with SATs curriculum and the ability to provide effective intervention support.
  • Experience supporting children with diverse needs, including SEN, is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • A proactive, positive, and adaptable attitude.
