About Us:Our school in Kilburn is a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child is supported to achieve their full potential. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Year 3 with autism, providing tailored support to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Role and Responsibilities:As a Teaching Assistant, your duties will include:

  • Supporting the child with their learning activities and adapting materials to meet their needs.
  • Encouraging social interaction and communication with peers.
  • Implementing strategies to support sensory regulation and emotional wellbeing.
  • Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored interventions.
  • Maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitoring and recording progress to contribute to the child's individual education plan (IEP).

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs (SEN).
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or SEN (desirable but not essential).
