We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 3 child with autism. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child's educational journey.

Role and Responsibilities:As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for the child, adapting activities and resources to meet their individual needs.
  • Foster the child's social, emotional, and academic development within a structured learning environment.
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external specialists to implement and monitor the child's individual education plan (IEP).
  • Use strategies to support sensory regulation, communication, and positive behavior.
  • Encourage participation in class activities and peer interaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of the child's progress and contribute to reviews and assessments.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs (SEN).
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or SEN (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Autism training) are desirable but not essential.
