Horizon Teachers are working with an SEND School in the Tower Hamlets area that are looking to appoint Teaching Assistants to help cover with staff absences on a long-term, full time basis from after February half-term until the end of the academic year. The school caters for students aged 4 to 11 that have Mild Learning Difficulties, such as Autism and being non-verbal. As some of the students in this school have challenging behaviours it would be desirable if you have previous experience supporting students with SEN needs, but this isn't essential.Being a Teaching Assistant within this school you will need to be patient, energetic and resilient in nature and be able to be flexible with a positive attitude to create a relationship with the students.
