Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to primary-aged pupils with ASC, tailoring your approach to their individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with the SEN Unit team to implement personalised learning and behaviour strategies.
- Foster a supportive and structured environment that encourages pupils to engage with their learning.
- Assist with daily routines, promoting social interaction and emotional development.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with children with Autism or other special educational needs.
- Confidence in managing behaviours associated with ASC, using a calm and proactive approach.
- A patient, empathetic individual with the ability to adapt to diverse needs in a mixed-age group setting.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS or is willing to process one through Reeson Education.
