A Primary School in Tottenham is looking for a Teaching Assistant to provide 2:1 support for a child with Autism and behavioural needs. This is a long-term role, running until the end of the academic year with the potential to continue into September 2025. The Headteacher is looking for a confident and experienced Teaching Assistant who can hit the ground running and work effectively alongside another TA to provide structured support.
Teaching Assistant - Role Overview:- Work 2:1 with a child with Autism, alternating support with another Teaching Assistant.
- Help manage behavioural challenges using proven strategies.
- Support the child in both classroom activities and structured interventions.
- Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement tailored learning approaches.
- Encourage positive social interactions and emotional regulation.
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with Autism and behavioural needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- A confident and proactive approach, able to hit the ground running.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
- Secure a long-term role in a well-supported Tottenham primary school.
