The Role:

We are recruiting an exceptional Teaching Assistant to work within a fantastic SEN School located in the Hillingdon area! As a Teaching Assistant you will be required to support SEND children within an SEND environment. You will have previous experience working with children and be available to start in January in line with the new academic term.

Key Duties:

- Provide exceptional support to SEND children both 1:1 and in groups

- Adapt teaching support according to student's needs

- Promote inclusion and acceptance, support diversity and ensure pupils have equal access to learning and development

- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

- Assist pupils with practical activities using a variety of teaching aids

Requirements:

- Previous experience working with pupils with special educational needs is preferred, though not essential

- A genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of pupils with SEND.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

- Patience, empathy, and flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of pupils.

- Relevant qualifications or training in special education or SEND support would be advantageous.
