Trainee Teaching Assistant - Penge (South East London)

£80 - 100/day

I am working with an Good School in Penge, South East London with great public transport links to the school. The role is for experienced Learning needs. The position will include the below responsibilities:

  • To work with and supervise individuals and groups of pupils with pastoral, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

  • To supervise and develop good social skills with pupils and deal with conflict issues around the school

  • To support class teachers and teaching assistants with the creation and implementation of plans and strategies for the development and education of pupils.

  • To work with parents and outside

About you

  • Ability to motivate and encourage children to meet their targets for learning and/or behaviour.

  • High level of written and spoken English and numeracy skills to enable the teaching/assisting of students

  • A real desire to make a difference to the students you work with

  • The ability to build a strong rapport with young adults

  • Experience supporting students with SEND
