Sanza Teaching Agency is proud to partner with a supportive and diverse primary school in Haringey that is seeking a dedicated Year 3 SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2025.

This exciting opportunity is perfect for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil with Autism, ensuring they are motivated and engaged in their learning.
  • Encourage the pupil to stay on track with lessons and targets set by the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the pupil's individual needs and abilities.
  • Support the pupil's social and emotional development, fostering confidence and independence.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to deliver effective and consistent support.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to the relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have previous experience working with children with special needs, ideally within a primary school setting.
  • Possess a calm, empathetic, and patient approach to working with children.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of Autism and strategies to support children with additional needs.
  • Show a commitment to promoting inclusion and helping every child succeed.
