A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Lewisham is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team immediately. This is a full-time, long-term role that will run until the end of the academic year, offering an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Role & Responsibilities:- Work closely with students to support positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
- Implement tailored behaviour strategies and interventions.
- Build strong relationships with students, helping to boost their confidence and resilience.
- Support teaching staff in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
- Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring to students who require additional support.
- Liaise with parents, teachers, and external professionals to ensure student progress.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational, mentoring, or support role.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively and positively.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
