Key duties of the Principal Electrical Design Engineer:
- Project financial management, administration and fee bids.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, building services engineering or equivalent.
- Working on design and construction of data centres, mission critical facilities, infrastructure projects and large scale industrial facilities.
- Working through all RIBA/BSRIA design stages and construction process.
- Leading and managing the production and delivery of all aspects of electrical design as part of a multidisciplinary design team.
- Working with sustainable electrical design, including energy efficiency, renewable integration and low-carbon strategies for data centres and infrastructure.
- Chartership or actively working towards it.
- Proficiency in electrical software.
- Training and mentoring engineers.
- Thorough understanding of BS 7671, IEC standards, and international electrical safety regulations for mission-critical environments.
