Sprinkler Design Engineer

I am working with a well-established company specializing in sprinkler system design and installation. Known for their expertise and long-standing presence in the industry, they are looking to bring on board an experienced Sprinkler Design Engineer to manage design projects and ensure compliance with industry standards such as BS9251 and BSEN12845. They are looking for an ambitious individual that is keen to develop professionally and offering them a tailored progression plan with a transparent structure spanning up to 4 years into the future. Furthermore, trust is a core value in their company culture, and they are happy for you to work completely remotely from your start date except when required to visit customer sites. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects across London and the Southeast while joining a team that values quality work and offers continuous learning and development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all design and technical aspects of both large projects and small works.
  • Ensure compliance with BS9251, BSEN12845, and other relevant standards from the start of the project to its completion.
  • Attend design meetings and represent the company at client sites.
  • Lead customer meetings, site visits, and audits, ensuring that technical standards are met.
  • Create and deliver design drawings and oversee the entire design process.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Over 5 years of experience in the industry, specifically in sprinkler system design.
  • A Basic Design LPC/BS Qualification is desired.
  • Strong understanding of LPC, BS, and FM sprinkler standards.
  • Experience with 3D services such as REVIT OR CAD MEP is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities with great attention to detail.
  • A full UK driving licence.
