Job Title: Mechanical Technician
Location: Camden, London
Remuneration: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience
Contract Details: Temporary, ending on 04/05/2025
Working Pattern: Full Time
Responsibilities:
Read blueprints/instructions and evaluate surfaces to determine necessary work.
Collaborate with the Facilities Lead Technician to ensure compliance with local legislation.
Adhere to the Maintenance Management system for planned and reactive tasks, exceeding GMP and service level expectations.
Undertake small installations and repairs of electrical installations, mechanical plant, and equipment.
Maintain a health and safety-conscious approach, following safety instructions, permits to work, and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with planned maintenance activities per Site SOPs and regulatory practises.
Maintain plant and utilities for optimal operation, ensuring proper record-keeping.
Maximise plant availability through efficient planned maintenance and quick fault response.
Provide technical support for projects, assisting with commissioning and handover of equipment.
Complete and close work orders in compliance with the Equipment Maintenance System.
Issue Change Control Notifications when necessary.
Initiate and receive Permits to Work, familiarising with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
Monitor and control energy efficiency strategies through BEMS interrogation.
Update drawings and documentation, indicating changes made.
Install new equipment as instructed by the line manager.
Innovate and improve Planned Maintenance Worksheets for better efficiencies.
Participate in cross-training with colleagues as directed.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to PPE requirements when necessary.
Provide regular reports to the line manager regarding engineering activities.
Communicate effectively in English to operate systems and prepare reports.
Manage and instruct sub-contractors under line manager supervision.
About You:
Proven experience in a similar role within a multinational environment.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work collaboratively to solve problems.
Up-to-date with industry trends, particularly in facilities management and customer service.
Committed to excellence and open to sharing ideas for improvement.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, functioning well in a diverse team.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Solid understanding of Health & Safety Regulations related to corporate sites.
Must Haves:
NVQ2 Mechanical Engineering
Familiarity with an office environment
Experience in FCU maintenance
Ideally:
NVQ3 Mechanical Engineering
