Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Bank, City of London
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday (split days)
Our market leading client is eagerly looking for a maintenance electrician for one of the more luxurious sites in their portfolio featuring an open use on-site swimming pool, gym and cafeteria for both clients and engineering staff alike.
On top of these side perks the financial and development benefits include a training budget for HV, confined spaces and more depending on the candidates preference, plus as much overtime as desired at a rate of 1.5x standard and 2x rate for Sundays, an additional budget for team building activities and incentives.
The work pattern will consist of; 1 week 7am - 4pm with the following week 1pm - 10pm alternating with flexibility amongst the engineers with switching days
What is a must is a candidate that thrives with autonomy who will seek out problems to solve as opposed to the micromanagement of other sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out PPM's and Reactive works
- Respond to customer requests in line with agreed service levels.
- Provide maintenance services to meet required standards and specifications.
- Participate in shift operations and work collaboratively with the team.
- Act as Performing Authority for Permit Control and a competent person for risk assessments.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, PDU's, AHU's, FCU's.
- Monitor critical infrastructure systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Minimise downtime by resolving electrical faults efficiently.
- Assist in small new installation projects and minor repairs.
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records in the CMMS system.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in City & Guilds Electrical Installation.
- 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- Experience working as an Engineer within a corporate setting
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and building services.
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Flexible, self-motivated, and willing to work occasional overtime.
