3rd Line Field Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking skilled Senior/3rd Line Field Engineers to join our team and contribute their advanced technical expertise. This position demands a high level of technical proficiency, a strong sense of initiative, and the ability to operate independently. As a key client-facing role, your professionalism and technical capabilities will be critical in building and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Advanced Technical Support

• Identify and resolve complex third-line issues across servers, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Administer and support hybrid IT environments, including Azure AD, Microsoft 365, and VMware platforms.
• Configure and manage advanced networking components such as VLANs, NAT, DNS, and firewalls.

1. On-Site Installations & Maintenance

• Carry out professional hardware installations, network upgrades, and structured cable management.
• Ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard and meet client expectations.

1. Project Involvement

• Work collaboratively on large-scale projects, including system migrations and infrastructure upgrades, alongside the IT Field Operations Manager and engineering team.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all technical solutions and configurations.

Required Skills & Experience

Professional Experience

• At least 5-7 years of experience in 3rd line support or a similar field engineering role.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while delivering exceptional technical results.

Technical Expertise

• Strong proficiency in Windows Servers, Microsoft 365, and advanced networking.
• Hands-on experience with Dell PowerEdge servers, Cisco network devices, and tools like SolarWinds.

Additional Requirements

• A valid UK driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle.
• Excellent attention to detail and skills in physical engineering tasks, including hardware installations and cable management.
