Their advanced portfolio of consulting, applications, business process, cloud, and infrastructure services will allow you to achieve great things by working with brilliant colleagues, and clients, on exciting projects.Overview:We are seeking an experience Automation & Tooling Engineer to join us on a permanent basis. This role is predominantly remote with travel to London required a couple of times per month.Responsibilities:* Understand and implement data fabric principles and methodologies to enhance data ingestion and processing. * Design and implement compliance scanning solutions on on-prem/cloud along with automated ticketing systems. * Leverage engineering experience within the financial services industry to address specific needs and challenges. * Apply strong knowledge of IT tooling and automation products for continuous compliance testing with Chef Inspec and configuration management with Ansible/Ansible-Tower integrated along with SNOW, and JIRA. * Manage configuration and engineering of UNIX and Windows platforms. * Develop and maintain SNOW ticketing workflows and remediation automation using Inspec controls and Ansible playbooks. * Integrate AWS native scanning capabilities with internal security standards, ensuring compliance and security. * Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment. * Perform thorough testing and validation to ensure the reliability and performance of implemented solutions. Qualifications:Skills/Experience-* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.* 8yrs+ of experience in Infrastructure DevOps and Automation within the financial services industry.* Strong understanding of data lake principles, data fabric, and related methodologies.* Deep expertise in Infrastructure As Code (IaC) principles and best practices.* Proficiency with IT tooling and automation products, including Chef Inspec, Ansible/Ansible tower, SNOW, and JIRA.* Extensive experience in configuration management on Windows platforms with experience on PowerShell scripting, Windows registries and Active Directory and policy objects* Extensive experience in configuration management on Unix/Linux platforms with experience on bash/shell scripting, system administration.* Strong Proven experience with SNOW ticketing, workflows, and remediation automation.* Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.* Strong testing and validation skills to ensure high-quality infrastructure compliance implementations.* Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in an Agile team environment.* Contribute to the design and scrum meetings.* Work independently and as part of the team.* Deliver documentation and all deliverables to a high standardPreferred Qualifications:* Experience in financial services industry-specific applications and compliance requirements.* Advanced knowledge of cloud security practices and standards.* Knowledge around Ruby/python scripting and containers.Some of the benefits include:* Healthcare and dental insurance* Company pension is matched up to 5%* 25 days annual leave entitlement plus bank holidays and the option to purchase 5 extra days* Life assurance - 4 x annual salary* Cycle to work scheme* Client prioritises internal development opportunities and offer access to our Udemy training platform with over 5000 training coursesPlease contact me directly on -
