Our client, a well-established fire and security company, is looking for a Fire and Security Engineer to join their team. If you enjoy spending your days with wiring, alarms, and CCTV systems instead of spreadsheets and endless meetings, this could be your next move.

What You'll Be Doing (It's More Than Just Turning Things Off and On Again):

  • Install, Maintain & Commission: Fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems. No, it's not all glamorous, but someone's got to do it.
  • Diagnose & Repair: Identify and fix faults efficiently-without resorting to "Have you tried turning it off and on again?"
  • Client Interaction: Communicating technical details in plain English, because no one appreciates jargon.
  • Compliance: Ensuring everything is up to standard. Yes, paperwork is involved.

What We're Looking For (Apart From a Pulse):

  • Experience: You've worked with fire and security systems long enough to know what you're doing without checking YouTube tutorials.
  • Technical Skills: If you can install it, fix it, and explain it, you're in.
  • Problem Solver: Staying calm when things inevitably go wrong.
  • Driving Licence: Because teleportation still isn't a thing.

What's in It for You (Apart from a Paycheck):

  • Salary: 40,000 - 45,000
  • Van + Tools: The essentials-because showing up empty-handed isn't a great look.
  • Paid Travel: You'll still have to sit in traffic, but at least you'll be getting paid for it.
  • Performance Bonuses
  • 20 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
  • Progression Opportunities: Work hard, and you'll go places.

Qualifications (The Fine Print):

  • Relevant fire and security qualifications.
  • CSCS/ECS card preferred-because we like professionals.
  • FIA Units 1 & 5? Nice to have but not a deal-breaker.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
