This company is a leading name across the international financial services sector, with one of the top 10 AUM.Your new roleThe Benefits Consultant will be part of the European Total Rewards team, reporting to the Head of Total Rewards, Europe.
- Develop, implement, and maintain benefits and wellbeing policies and guidelines (including Healthcare, Risk, Pension, Wellbeing, and Perks) to align with the global enterprise strategy and regulatory requirements across Europe.
- Ensure that the benefits offerings in all European countries comply with external regulatory, legislative requirements, and internal standards, overseeing the control environment and establishing robust, defined processes.
- Lead the annual benefits renewal process, collaborating with European benefits brokers/consultants, and internal teams (Risk, Legal, Compliance, Finance) to secure the best rates and value for money.
- Support RFP processes during vendor changes or implementation projects.
- Assess market competitiveness across Europe and create detailed plans to address gaps or improve current benefits programs, based on input from key stakeholders.
- Act as the subject matter expert on benefits in Europe, offering consultation to employees, the wider business, and HR leadership.Proactively identify and address issues and risks, providing support and guidance to employees or leaders on benefits-related matters.
- Track trends, changes in employment law, regulatory updates, and other factors impacting the design and implementation of benefits programs.
- Lead the development and execution of communication strategies to enhance benefits transparency and accessibility, ensuring alignment with global and regional HR objectives and DEI goals.
What you'll need to succeed
- Subject matter expert in benefits with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing health and risk benefits across the UK and Europe.
- In-depth knowledge of UK pensions is essential, with experience in Ireland and Germany considered an asset.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with HR policies and processes.
- Strong understanding of European benefits and experience in running and delivering benefits initiatives, including working with external providers.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills with excellent relationship management and interpersonal abilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Qualifications:
- At least five years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of two years in benefits management.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
