HR Business Partner – Maternity Contract – Professional Services Exp Essential £65,000 + bonusCity – hybridA fantastic opportunity for a CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualified HR BP to join a leading professional services firm in the city. You will have proven experience within Accountancy, Legal or similar industries, or an LLP company. This is a FTC covering maternity leave and covers generalist HR duties including complex ER cases, line management of HR Administrators and project support.THE ROLE:
  • HR Advice and Employee Relations
  • Advise Partners, Directors, Managers and team members on all aspects of employment, as appropriate in accordance with internal policies and procedures, best practice and employment legislation.
  • Work with Team Leaders and appropriate designated representatives to manage employee relations matters.
  • Work with the HR Partner to develop compliant employment policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that the HR team’s working practices are accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure that the HR system is accurate and up to date.
  • Oversee the onboarding of new team members and subcontractors. Ensuring full regulatory compliance and all appropriate pre-screening checks are conducted, and any anomalies are dealt with. 
  • Provide day-to-day supervision and line management of HR team members.
  • Mentor and coach HR team members and provide regular and constructive feedback to members of the team to contribute to their ongoing development.
  • Carry out Performance and Development Review meetings for members of the team in accordance with the firm’s systems and processes.
THE PERSON:
  • Proven experience of working as a HR Business Partner
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law
  • Demonstrable experience of handling complex ER cases from start to finish
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to translate complex issues into practical solutions
  • CIPD qualified (Level 7) or equivalent
  • Experience gained in a partnership environment or similar
