A fantastic opportunity has come available for a Regional HR Advisor to join a market leading support services firm on a 12 month FTC (with potential opportunities in the wider HR team beyond). Supporting the Regional HRBP, the HR Advisor will play a pivotal role in delivering the HR services and projects across a number of sites primarily across South London with key responsibilities including managing Employee Relations cases, supporting smaller restructures and providing general people advice related to the client’s HR processes and policies.
The role offers a salary to £45,000 with a car or car allowance + benefits and would require you to travel to the customer sites 3 days/week with 2 days from home or visiting the client’s HQ near London Bridge.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Provide guidance & support to managers for all company policies and procedures in line with current Employment Law regulations.
- Provide commercially focused advice and operational support to managers on all ER issues in line with the company procedures including; disciplinary, grievance, performance management and absence management particularly in a complex and fast paced environment.
- Responsible for building relationships with all levels of management to provide expert knowledge on complex employee issues for effective management of case workload.
- Assist with the delivery of Change Management communications and operational support for TUPE processes, Restructures & Redundancy.
- Union liaison (where needed in collaboration with ER CoE)
- Raise and improve Managers awareness of current and new Employment Legislation.
- Effective and timely escalation of high risk cases whilst working closely with the Regional HRBP.
- Contribute to the delivery of best people management practice, particularly in equal opportunity and cultural diversity.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Minimum 2-3 years’ HR experience including confidence in dealing with Employee Relations cases.
- Demonstrates a track record in successfully advising and guiding management on all aspect of people management practices.
- UK employment legislation knowledge, TUPE experience (basic understanding)
- and Union experience.
- Problem solving and Conflict resolution
- Educated to degree level or equivalent and/or CIPD qualified, or willing to work towards CIPD qualification.
- Customer service orientation
- Build relationships with managers
- Ability to mediate between managers and employees
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to follow clear processes
- Coaching skills
