Clerk of Works x2

Venn Group is working exclusively with a London NHS Trust to recruit 2 Clerk of Works’ (one M&E, one Fabric) to support their growing property portfolio.

Salary: £51,000

Duration: 18 month FTC

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30

Location: London

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensure quality control and thorough inspections are carried out at all stages of project lifecycle
  • Ensure that contractors and tradesmen adhere to the project’s specifications, standards and deadlines
  • Keep accurate records of works carried out by contractors on both major and minor schemes
  • Evaluate Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS), policies and procedures prior to the commencement and during the delivery of a project
  • Report regularly to the Capital Works Project Manager on project status, identifying any potential delays or issues

The successful candidate will have:

  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field OR a relevant qualification in construction, building engineering, or related disciplines
  • Proven experience as a Clerk of Works, Site Inspector, Building Control, Building Inspector or similar role in capital works projects, ideally within a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of NHS guidelines, including HTMs and HBNs, and statutory regulations affecting healthcare buildings
