We are seeking a Junior Environmental Consultant with at least 1 year of experience in Environmental Due Diligence (EDD) to join our London-based team. This hybrid role offers flexibility, with one day a week in the office and the rest working remotely.
Role Overview:
This role is suited for candidates with experience in Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments or Environmental Due Diligence reporting, particularly within light industrial, retail, and residential sectors. You will be involved in property transactions for institutional investors, property investment funds, and M&A projects, focusing on environmental reporting related to property acquisitions.
We are looking for a motivated individual who can contribute immediately to our projects, with the opportunity for career progression based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior consultants with EDD tasks, focusing on environmental reporting for property purchases.
- Conduct environmental site inspections and produce timely EDD reports for various asset types, including light industrial, retail, and residential properties.
- Collate, organize, and review environmental data and reports.
- Specialize in Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments and ensure thorough environmental risk evaluation for property investments and acquisitions.
- Co-audit with senior auditors, with the potential to transition to solo auditing roles.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A degree in environmental sciences or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in Environmental Due Diligence and Phase 1 assessments.
- Strong knowledge of environmental assessments, contaminated land evaluation, and risk assessments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and general IT tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce clear, accurate reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive, confident approach.
- A valid driving license for site visits.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze environmental data, including historical maps, geological and hydrological information, and regulatory databases.
- Prepare reporting templates and maintain organized project folders.
- Write detailed reports based on environmental assessments and site inspections.
- Assist with data review and site inspections alongside senior auditors.
- Conduct environmental audits for a variety of properties including light industrial, retail, hotel, and office sectors.
- Support senior consultants on larger portfolio and property investment fund projects.
Working Conditions:
This role offers a hybrid work model with one day per week in our London office and the flexibility to work remotely or when needed travel to site will be required.
