Regional Director of Meeting, Events and Groups Reservations
I am working with a Hotel group who are expanding and are seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Director of Meeting, Events and Groups Reservations London (inbound groups and events) to lead the Regional Meeting and Event teams which is based in their Corporate Central Sales office.
As the Regional Director of Meeting, Events and Groups Reservations London you will oversee all aspects of the business, from strategy development to client relations, team management, and financial performance. You will play a pivotal role in expanding their brand, securing new partnerships, and ensuring the seamless execution sourcing and contracting of events and groups within our Londonvenues.
This is reactive sales role and will need someone who has worked in large scale M&E and can managing a large team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to drive growth and profitability.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of meeting, group and event specialists.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and continuously innovate our offerings.
- Oversee the relationship with client for corporate meeting, private functions, and larger events, from point of enquiry to signing of contracts.
- Ensure the team operates according to the agreed pricing per event/group based on wish/want/walk pricing.
- Pro-activity in internal and external Executive Board level communications, managing General Manager expectations and being responsible for and delivering on targets.
- Ensure client records are accurately maintained and all client interactions are logged in Delphi to company brand standards.
- Develop accurate proposals, manage event budgets, and maximise revenue opportunities while maintaining a high standard of service across our portfolio of hotels in London.
The successful candidate will:
- Have proven experience in a senior leadership role within the event or hospitality industry.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of responsibility and commercial success in an M&E and / or Group reactive sales team.
- Strong knowledge of corporate events, weddings, and private functions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Be able to confidently interpret financial data, such as forecasted and actual revenue performance and significantly contribute to a venue budgeting and commercial strategy process.
- Demonstrate an industry-leading passion & commitment for the customer experience (internal and external) and demonstrate how the same is applied to team management and development.
- Have a client-focused approach with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
