Audio Visual Event Business Development Manager

Our client is a leading provider of high-quality lighting, audio, video, and scenic solutions to the live events industry. With a reputation for delivering bespoke production solutions, we serve a prestigious range of clients across the UK and Europe.

They are now seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team based at our North London / Hertfordshire HQ. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of a thriving business and play a key role in driving sales and client relationships within the live events industry.

Role Overview:

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities and building lasting relationships with clients. Your goal will be to introduce the company to new, high-profile events and productions, creating opportunities for our project management team to convert leads into successful, long-term collaborations. You'll play a pivotal role in customer relationship management, driving sales retention and growth to ensure continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Target Achievement: Take ownership of a revenue target, generating new sales and maintaining relationships with existing clients.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and opportunities within the live events and production markets, particularly lighting, audio, video, and scenic services.
  • Lead Generation & Research: Identify and qualify new potential clients and opportunities, ensuring a pipeline of potential business.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in potential client organizations, securing opportunities to meet and present our services.
  • Presentation & Sales: Collaborate with the team to prepare and deliver engaging, tailored presentations to new and existing clients.
  • Sales Process Improvement: Continuously seek to improve the sales process, ensuring maximum effectiveness and success in generating new business.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably within the events or live production industry.
  • Strong track record of building relationships and converting them into tangible business opportunities.
  • Highly personable, confident communicator with the ability to present effectively to a variety of clients.
  • Commercially astute with excellent IT skills and a solid understanding of sales processes.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel for site visits and meetings.
  • A sense of humour and an outgoing, enthusiastic attitude.
