About the Role

A leading membership organisation is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Conference Administrator to join their dynamic Conference Department. This role is essential in supporting Conference Organisers and assisting with the administration and registration processes for 6-8 specialist conferences annually, along with a flagship annual conference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Conference Department.
  • Manage specialist and annual conference registrations, including database input and administration.
  • Handle incoming calls and emails related to conference registrations and general queries.
  • Set up conferences in the database, including inputting fees and deadlines.
  • Coordinate communication with speakers, including distributing materials and managing presentation submissions.
  • Assist with logistics such as delegate badges, participant lists, and conference signage.
  • Produce and distribute registration reports and updates.
  • Provide on-site support at conferences in the UK and abroad.
  • Assist with general administration related to the annual conference.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and databases.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A positive, flexible, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.

Desirable:

  • Experience in an administrative role, preferably within events, conferences, or hospitality.
  • Knowledge of additional languages.
  • A professional and friendly telephone manner.
