Events Planner - Law Firm

Morgan McKinley are excited to represent a leading US Law firm in their recruitment for an Events specialist to join their London office. This is an exciting, newly created role offering the chance to contribute to an innovative, high-performing team by organising exceptional client events.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with marketing, business development teams, and Partners to design unique client engagement experiences such as social events, dinners, and exclusive gatherings aimed at strengthening business connections
  • Help shape and deliver high-profile events that demonstrate the firm's expertise and thought leadership in the legal sector
  • Oversee the purchase and coordination of tickets for prestigious events (e.g. Wimbledon), handling all logistics and client-related needs.
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with venues, suppliers, and restaurants to ensure flawless event execution (mainly UK focused)
  • Manage internal event reference materials, ensuring all details are captured for smooth operational execution.
  • Collaborate with the Client Development and CRM teams to organise and maintain guest lists using the firm's database.
  • Contribute to enhancing processes, workflows, and efficiency within the events and broader Marketing & Business Development teams.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with senior executives and clients.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Acute attention to detail, ensuring every element of the event is meticulously managed.
  • Flexibility to travel for events as needed.
  • At least 5 years of experience in event planning within the Legal OR Professional services industries
