You'll be responsible for driving revenue through sales initiatives, managing event planning and execution, and building relationships with key clients and partners. Description

As the Events & Sales Manager, you will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development: Develop and execute sales strategies to attract corporate clients, event planners, and large groups to host events at the museum.
  • Event Planning & Execution: Full ownership and management of all aspects of event coordination, from initial concept and sales inquiries to final execution, ensuring an exceptional experience for all attendees.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, tourism partners, and sponsors to grow revenue and expand brand presence.
  • Revenue Growth: Identify and implement new business opportunities to drive ticket sales, private events, and sponsorships.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to develop and promote events and sales packages across digital, social media, and traditional marketing channels.
  • Team Management: Coordinate with internal teams including operations, customer service, and facilities to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Track sales performance, event metrics, and client feedback to continually improve and refine strategies for growth.
  • Partner Relationships:Set up contracts and be the point of contact for all catering, entertainment and other vendors. Work in partnership with suppliers and colleagues to deliver high-quality experiences.
  • Accounting and Admin:Respond to all enquiries in a timely manner, ensure prompt payment from/to clients and partners, issue invoices, track and report on all open and confirmed leads.

Profile

The successful Events & Sales Manager candidate will have the following:

  • Proven experience in event planning, sales, or business development, preferably in entertainment, hospitality, or tourism industries.
  • Strong networking skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Results-driven with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative, and ever-changing environment.
  • Passion for the arts, entertainment, and creating memorable visitor experiences.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • 3 years of experience working in a managerial Event Sales position with a pre-existing network of contacts within the events and hospitality industry.
