My client, a reputable and established global membership body, is currently recruiting for an Events Manager.

The Role of the Events Manager

Organise and deliver UK and international events (F2F and some online) to the highest industry standards to support membership value and engagement. Work collaboratively with their team, external partners, members and sponsors to ensure cohesive event delivery, taking a leading role on projects and initiatives. Develop established events programmes through demonstrable experience and creativity, as well as contributing to the conceptual planning for new activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of event and conference delivery, including content, sponsors, venues, suppliers, speakers, and on-the-day coordination.
  • Take ownership of the content planning to incorporate key themes and dates to maximise event impact in consultation with Policy and Public Affairs colleagues.
  • Manage the day-to-day event administration, supporting the wider team with event queries instilling best practice, monitoring feedback and data to help shape events and activities in line with membership behaviour and demand.
  • Liaise with the Communications colleagues to ensure events are effectively promoted, ensuring consistency of their brand and achieving high levels of engagement.
  • Produce standard templates for event materials including emails, booking journey, communication, feedback forms, and post-event collateral in consultation with the wider Communications team.
  • Meet and exceed personal performance targets which contribute to both your own and the teams’ targets and KPIs.
  • Input and maintain up-to-date CRM and database records, including event feedback from attendees and the wider team.
  • Maintain an up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of their membership, mission and all related activities.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum three years’ experience managing end-to-end events and conference cycles, with particular focus on in-person events.
  • Substantial work experience and/or educated to degree level, preferably in areas related to events management, marketing, and creative subjects.
  • Training in digital event delivery strongly desired.
  • Knowledge of digital events platforms and delivery.
  • Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders, including CEO and Director level business leaders, government officials, comms and marketing teams and external suppliers.
  • Experience of working with CRM systems, data and databases, as well as Zoom
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to convey accurate, well-written messages at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build effective relationships with stakeholders, members and sponsors.
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • A general understanding of corporate environments, with a passion for events management.
