Our client, a well-respected and reputable recognised membership body in Leisure and Hospitality industry is currently looking for Membership Manager to work from their London offices on hybrid basis.

The Role

The Membership Manager is responsible for the engagement with and retention of operator members ensuring their understanding of our key campaigns and activities, that they engage with activities, commit to our working groups and retain their annual membership. UK members include hotels, pubs, coffee shops, visitor attractions, contract caters, night clubs and other leisure attractions.

Key Responsibilities

Development and execution of a membership retention and engagement strategy.

Ensure a broad understanding of the benefits of membership by Operator members

and support the uptake

Be the key point of contact for all membership inquires

Manage the membership lifecycle, from application to renewal, ensuring a smooth and efficient process including subscription payment with the COO, membership executive and finance team

Support in the promotion and delivery of strategic objectives

Develop and implement communication strategies to keep members informed and engaged

Assist in the identification and development of a range of services/benefits for membership for Operator Members.

Develop and manage regional engagement through delivery of its regional committees, a programme of webinars and regional events

Review Operator members engagement with sector and policy groups and create a strategy for effective engagement

Development of the CRM and member portal for the benefit and understanding of operator members.

Reporting of member engagement, analyse membership data and trends to identify areas for improvement and inform strategic decisions

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Ensure the update of all Operator member contact information

Participate in ad-hoc research projects that will benefit membership value proposition

Person Specification

Experience of hospitality, the industry and its structure.

Previous experience of working in a membership organisation

Understand membership engagement strategies

Excellent written and verbal English leading to good communication

Excellent communication is key

Team player

Personable

Highly motivated, driven and work on their own initiative

Organised and ability to juggle multiple projects

Active in /on social media for professional purposes

Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office particularly word, PowerPoint and Excel.
