Assistant Company Secretary

Nonstop are currently recruiting for an Assistant Company Secretary within the Government Sector.

Minimum Requirement:

Candidates must be qualified to ACIS or ACG level and have at least 5 years' experience at board level

About the Role:

  • Organise and prepare agendas and take minutes of board meetings and annual general meetings.
  • Maintain statutory books, including registers of members, directors and secretaries.
  • Deal with correspondence, collating information and writing reports, ensuring decisions made are communicated to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to meeting discussions and advise members of the legal, governance, accounting and tax implications of proposed policies.
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and taking appropriate action. Liaise with external regulators and advisers.
  • Responsible for the health and safety of employees and managing matters related to insurance and property.
  • Develop and oversee systems that ensure the company complies with all applicable codes, in addition to its legal and statutory requirements.
