As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bar and restaurant. You will be responsible for ensuring a seamless guest experience, managing the team, and maintaining high standards in service, food and beverage offerings, and overall customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar, ensuring smooth service and an exceptional guest experience.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of staff, ensuring top-tier customer service.
- Monitor and manage staff schedules, training, and performance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and hygiene standards.
- Support the General Manager with budgeting, stock management, and ordering.
- Maintain and build positive relationships with guests to ensure repeat business.
- Handle any guest queries, complaints, or feedback in a professional manner.
- Proven experience in an assistant manager role in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
- Good understanding of bar and restaurant operations, including financials, stock control, and health and safety.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work under pressure and solve problems efficiently.
