MLC Partners are recruiting a Company Secretary for a 6-month matnerity contract, for a well-known Charity in central London.

As the organisation enters the final stages of a governance review, this is a fantastic opportunity to lead the governance team into a new era. Reporting directly into the COO, you’ll be responsible for managing governance policies, and monitoring the charities compliance and company law.

Working closely with the trustee board, committee members and executive team, you’ll provide strategic advice and oversee improvements to processes and effectively lead and manage a governance team of 3.

Essential criteria:

  • Qualified company secretary (or extensive practical experience)
  • Charity sector experience is ESSENTIAL
  • Proven ability to work closely with senior stakeholders and executive directors.
  • Essential understanding and experience in managing both the governance and legal framework within a Charitable organisation
  • Experience in leading, motivating and managing junior staff
